Endangered Beauty

This is basically what this picture is about. An endangered beauty of our wonderful planet. This is the Rhone Glacier in the heart of Swiss Alps that gives birth to one of the major river of Switzerland and Europe. Last time I've seen this glacier was 5 years ago and believe me the lake at the feet of the glacier was way smaller than you see in this picture. I really hope that next generations will have the opportunity to enjoy these wonderful living "snakes" of ice as we have today …
