Definitely best if viewed on black - Please click on the image. A well known scene of Punchbowl Falls with lush greens during the Springtime. This was taken a few years ago, not too long before the big tree fell. I haven't been back to this area since taking this image, as I've opted to explore more of the waterfalls in the Gifford Pinchot and North Cascades up here in Washington State instead. Despite how much traffic is generally on the trail and how often it's shot, I miss this area regardless. In this case I was impressed more by the colorful green foliage and surrounding rocks, than the waterfall itself. The greens are absolutely striking at this time of year. Looking forward to getting out and exploring more waterfalls around the Pacific Northwest this weekend!
