…the Gatklettur Arch. The arch shows how wave actions has eroded the rocks into arches and beautiful swirled patterns. Best view is from below at low tide, although it could be dangerous climbing over the lava rocks after rain. Large colonies of arctic terns also nest on the rocks. The cliff Gatklettur and the arch is located in Arnastapi, a small fishing village at the foot of Mount Stapafell on the southern side of Snæfellsnes Peninsula, Iceland. A single exposure… no blending or any other tricks.
