Moritz, the Photographer and a unique Character. Moritz, who hails somewhere from East Galicia (Transcarpathia) is one of the Toronto unnamed famous people. He must have photographed every music group and everyone who is even remotely interesting to be photographed. Easily recognized, even in the dark, by his special waddling gait, he has taken 1000's of photographs at Toronto summer festivals and public events. As far as I know, he does not publish his photos, at least that's what he told me. He must be in his mid-late 70's, but basically he did not change much in the last 10 years I have seen him milling around. He finally ditched his brown corduroy jacket, which was sooo trendy in 1974 (I had one) and even trimmed his hair. Sometimes he would ask for a permission, but most of the time he just shoots. -------------------- Here, he is catching an afternoon performance of the 'Jive Bombers' group at Toronto Jazz Festival.
