View this image on black for a better view of the tones. :) The cool thing about shooting on Steptoe Butte in the Palouse region is that there is always some unique composition to be found even though countless photos have been taken there. The secret is to use a long telephoto lens to narrow the view down to something that works best. I had found this shot earlier in the day and waited around for hours in the same spot to finally get the light color, softness, and direction I needed. I've also been working on some new processing techniques in my mad scientist laboratory, which I applied to this shot. Hope you like it! Thanks for looking! -Johan
