The moor is one of the most typical landscapes of Brittany. Consisted of shrubs, it develops on acid and poor grounds, where dominate the purple of heathers and one golden several gorses. In this type of environment, the evolution of the vegetation is limited: trees cannot develop either under the wind pressure for the littoral moors, or because of mows it or of the extensive pasture in the internal moors. With the changes of agricultural practices, the latter are the most threatened today and are kept only thanks to an maintenance adapted to their biodiversity. (Bernard Clement (Ecobio))
