I've been shooting this composition for three years now, and have come away with some serviceable renditions - but I always held off on processing and posting them, because it just wasn't the light and water action I was waiting for. I think I can put this comp to rest for myself now, although since the first time I saw this spot, the tides moved the foreground rocks into a more jumbled arrangement. And I guess this means I won't run into Kurt at this exact spot every year! Tech info: 90% of this image is from a single base exposure, with a few more blended into small areas for water movement, and one darker one blended to recover the highlights around the sun. All exposures were shot with a 3-stop ND at f/16 or f/22.
