We all have our particular journey, many times rough but sometime in direction to our personal Shangri-La, that mythical place where we will experience true love and happiness. My today´s capture is another of those images I had in my mind for a long time.
It involved some previous preparation as usual, with a bit of nervousness because a trip to Spain, our foreign country, was involved. Proper wardrobe for my better half, a 40 year old suitcase, flash, trigger were already on the car´s trunk in the previous night.
But as always things weren´t exactly what I supposed to be. We made the 250 km trip, scout the location after lunch and waited for the sunset hour. Due to the strong winds I was unable to use my tripod, because we couldn´t hear to the upcoming traffic and it represented a real danger having it on the road. So the session wasn´t smooth as I want, because we were constantly afraid of the traffic.
But when finally the sun was down and we went back home a smile was on my face. I want to thank once more my lovely Cristina, for be always there for me. Also pay my tribute to a small group of friends that inspired and helped me to choose this particular image. Happy shooting!
