After 5 frustrating days of storms where nothing in the mountain range showed, we started hiking around 3AM with the hope that this morning the mountains will actually show. And show they did, at first we saw them in the full moon light and it was a sight to behold. After 5 days we were treated to the magical fresh snow conditions that you can see in this picture.
It was a memorable morning one that I will always remember fondly: from the long hiking in the fresh snow, to first seeing these magnificent mountains under a full moon, to getting knee deep into freezing water, to first seeing the light kissing the top of the peak, to finally actually feeling the warmth of the sun on my back. I am having Patagonia withdrawal right now, but looking at this picture it eases the desire. Hope you enjoy it, this is a special one for me.
