Returning alive
Marco Calandra - Belpasso, Italy

Facebook page: Marco Calandra Photography Website: http://www.marcocalandra.com Google +: Marco Calandra After a quiet lasted about three months, the volcano Etna has awakened from his silence in the night between the 11th and May 12th, 2015. As the days went by the eruption became more and more violent. So, during the night between the 14th and 15th I went up the volcano with my cousin in search of the perfect spot to photograph the eruption. We wanted to walk the path of the "Schiena dell'asino" and get to the Valle del Bove, but then we changed our minds, thinking that it would not allow us to see the flowing lava. So, we decided to follow a different path to reach the Monte Zoccolaro. The route was pretty sloping but once we arrived to the destination we were able to admire a beautiful landscape.
