Night shot with some light painting of the castle of Horst in Sint-Pieters-Rode. The castle, with its white stone keep, was built in the mid 14th century and is still quite authentic. The former living rooms, made of brick and sandstone, are mostly from the 16th and 17th centuries. The location of Horst was very trategic due to the neighboring city of Leuven and its position in the valley of the Winge which was a passage for travelers, traders and armies.
