The Path Of Light Stay up to date at with the latest at Visit EyeOfAlens Well have just returned from 18days of PNW magic, & magic is exactly what the state of Oregon & all its diversity offer. I was there last year & barley scratched the surface & again this time albeit a longer trip, I still feel Ive only barely scratched the surface. I have never been to a state that offers so much diversity in landscape & climate. Pants & jackets one day, shorts & shirts the next or even the same day.Rainforest in the morning, go skiing if you want 40 mins away...all year round ! In fact it would be very possible to rainforest, ski, & beach it all in one day of you wanted. I have yet to desert here, yes! they have desert environments as well ..next trip over I will, yes I'll return yet again, as A) I'm not into bucket lists & B) this state is insanely beautiful & diverse C) I'm only beginning to scratch it. Oh & they fill up your fuel at the gas station smile emoticon last time I saw or experienced that was easily 20 + years ago in Oz. And I found Tim Tams! So to this image at hand, captured on my first morning after camping at Silver Falls State Park. This is the beautiful South Falls & this park abounds in falls! I had hiked little in here the day before, just to sus things out & get a feel for the place & when returning here in the morning after a short hike from the camp site, I really had no idea what to expect nor the morning might bring. But when I saw the sun coming around from the left & starting to break some light & catch the mist & spray coming from the falls I new something special was on the cards.This is just one of many & various compositions I managed to capture as the morning came alive with light. It was a perfect start to my trip & one really needed as I was already deeply missing my son & having feelings of guilt, but new I needed this & do need each year otherwise I will go stir crazy!
