To be honest I am a little nervous about posting this image being that it is only the second image I have ever posted on a non calibrated Macbook on the road. As a color management teacher I have always preached against this, but because I am currently in Patagonia, I can not get too picky at the moment! :)
Some photographers consider the Pacific Northwest (USA) to be one of the most diverse places in the world for Landscape photography. Top to bottom, side to side this unique region is literally loaded with soaring snow capped mountains, vast valleys, roaring waterfalls, rivers, rugged coastlines, high desert, ice caves, old growth forest, remote areas… Many have seen the typical pictures of a handful of epic waterfall images from the Columbia River Gorge (Oregon) but many do not know that there are over 100 major waterfalls on the Oregon side alone (and the Washington side is great too)! All just waiting for the adventurous photographer to get off the beaten path.
Here is Moffett Falls, although not difficult to get to, it is a waterfall many do not visit. Honestly, I do not know why. This river is loaded with many incredible falls, and even during peak seasons sometimes they can find themselves in total solitude amongst the roaring giants and lush greenery.
FYI, I have a couple of spots left on 2 workshops for 2015. If you are interested in a great adventure getting awesome photos, simply check out the links provided. Being a photography guide has been my full time vocation and greatest of passions for over 10 years now.
PS - #1, I am currently in Patagonia and do not have my critical desk top monitor. Please over look any quality issues here, as I am a bit limited on my laptop.
PS - #2, Also currently my internet access is terrible. If I am delayed in my responses that is why. Thank you for your understanding. I’ll be back to the states late May.
Feel free to follow me on FACEBOOK if you so choose.
Thank you for looking and as always GREAT Light to you!
