Located 45km from Queenstown, Glenorchy has been a set to so many films such us Vertical Limit, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and Lord of the Rings. It lies near the borders of Mount Aspiring National Park and Fiordland National Park that also features astonishing landscapes. I manage to isolate this willow tree at Glenorchy during our autumn safari tour last April 2014., backed by the Humboldt Mountains and a beautiful display of light makes this place one of my favorites to photograph. This location is even more mesmerizing once the ranges are dusted with snow. I can’t wait to go back this July in the middle of the southern winter and see what this place has to offer.
