Above you can see a 180 degree view of a sound where Norway's largest fjord branches out to several major fjord arms. For scale, the snow covered cliff to the left drops nearly 2,000 meters down to the fjord and, for what it's worth, continues to drop for another 1,000 meters below sea level. Location is approx 150 km inland from the Atlantic ocean. I find this unspoiled region to be one of my favorite landscapes to be in, but at the same time notoriously difficult to photograph because of scale, vegetation, topography and general inaccessibility. It seems like you never get to the spot where you think that keeper comp will be. Here I resorted to a big old all inclusive centered-horizon panorama. Clear skies and all, but at least it's a view new to 500px. Some might question why I chose to have that big tree to the left obstructing the view. To which I will say that, after having surveyed passable sections of the very steep and, plainly speaking, dangerous mountain side, this is the spot where one will get the clearest view of this angle. Unless you bring a chainsaw that is. I uploaded this BIG, please press M to view maximized. Thanks for viewing! Any feedback appreciated!
