First I have to say I'm an idiot... I accidentally deleted this photo some days ago... don't ask how and why...
It was my most known photo here and my only one in Editor's Choice - I hope it will be chosen again :/
Ok, now something about this photo:
It was one of my dreams to shoot the night sky when I went on holiday to New Zealand in February 2014. Unfortunately the time was not perfect because of the moon, which was at the beginning nearly the whole night at the sky and also the weather made me change plans. At the end of my trip I had luck an get a clear sky after the sunset although the whole day was very cloudy. I decided to drive to the famous little church in Tekapo and took some shots of the night sky before the moon rose.
This is one shot with my EOS 6D and the Samyang 14mm lens @ f/2.8, 30sec, ISO6400
PS: You can buy this photo as a postcard in New Zealand - have a look for Pikitia Postcards - the awesome postcards with the white frame! Many thanks to Ben & Phil to make this possible! :)
