I'm afraid of heights. It's a lot better now than it used to be, but still. To be able to get a shot like this, I need a lot of time to get used to the view - look into the abyss for a few minutes, take a step closer, repeat. There can not be people near me, I simply don't trust them. Not that I think that they want to push me, although the thought may cross their minds, I just know that people are clumsy. They lose their balance, bump into me, and that's it. People do die here, mostly the clumsy ones. The most recent casualty was standing near the edge and dropped her sunglasses - in an effort to catch them she lost her balance and fell down. Just so you know that this is sort of heroic for me.
But where is it? It's Victoria Falls, shot from The Zimbabwe side. Zambia is on the other side.
This is actually a selfie. I set the exposure and focus and then took my time to move to the death spot. I then asked Daniella to trip the shutter, so I guess officially it's not a selfie. Anyway, it was shot on our Beyond The Great Rivers tour, just after sunrise.
This image was recently used for the review I wrote on the Gura Gear Bataflae camera backpack - the black thing I'm wearing in the shot. You can find the review on the 500px blog:

I usually end by mentioning the fact that you can join me to this place, but unfortunately both the 2015 and 2016 tours are already fully booked - it's crazy. We may decide to add a second tour in 2016, so drop us a line if you're interested.
