My first rooftop photography experience with a view of the world’s tallest building, “Burj Khalifa”.
Finding the right angle was the hardest part since I wanted to capture not only the Burj Khalifa, but also the beauty around the tower especially the famous “Sheikh Zayed Road”.
I spent hour after hour, searching the streets, rooftops just to get to that vantage point to get the unique shot where tourist do not have access. I decided to sneak in one of the tallest hotel with my cousin who is local, but the security was our big concern. Some how we managed to get to the top floor clubroom observation deck, as expected, security guard at the entrance to the rooftop caught us and said we do not have access and will have to take permission from the manager of the hotel. We managed to get hold of manager, but he refuse to give us the access and said it’s not in my hand, it’s the security department has set the rule. We didn’t wanted to give up, after requesting him multiple times; he made a call to security department and got us the access, I was bloody stoked.
Once we got to the rooftop, I was blown away with the view. I felt like I was on top of the world! I had only one chance, I setup the tripod and I got the epic shot!
