Mount Sefton is a 3157 m mountain peak above Aoraki/Mount Cook Village. According to Maori legend, it is the guardian of Aoraki. The lake below the mountain is known as Muller Glacier Lake. This photo was made during my 2014 4-day New Zealand Winter Alpine Expedition. During our decent just below snowline, I came to the ridge of Mt Cook Range after the sun went down behind the mountain peak, and took this image.
