Hallowed
Sean Bagshaw - Ashland, Usa

From a trip with Zack Schnepf to the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument in Arizona a few years back. This deep twilight light occurred almost every day about 30 minutes before sunrise and after sunset. We later found out that it occurs when sunlight reflects off of particles high in the stratosphere which come from volcanoes and meteor smoke. It was so rich and permeating that we took to calling it salmon light. Otherworldly light illuminating an otherworldly landscape! 5D MKIII, 16-35mm at 26mm, polarizer. 6 seconds, f/18, ISO 100. I made many subtle and incremental luminosity masked adjustments for contrast and color to showcase the light quality and mood. Photoshop Workflow
