I woke in the morning in the campervan after a restless night. The wind was so strong I swear I could feel the camper being blown across the gravel car park. I got dressed and out of the camper. I was wearing every layer of clothing I had. It was so cold. I hadn’t realised the night before that we had stopped on the highest sealed road in New Zealand. As morning broke I anticipated the peaks lighting up like torches when the sun hit them. I shot this scene with a few different foregrounds (one including some wild daisy’s) which I need to re process. I quite like the simple composition on this one though.
