We have just returned from another amazing expedition to South Georgia and Antarctica. Our fifth continent is by far the wildest and most remote place on our planet, and that’s something you realise every second you are there. Antarctica is so inhospitable, that many people have lost their lives while trying to tame it. Thundering avalanches, 45 ft waves, calving glaciers, tsunamis, katabatic winds, towering icebergs, blizzards, crushing sea ice, sub comfortable temperatures - it’s not hard to get yourself killed in Antarctica. If you underestimate the Big A, you will pay the ultimate price.
Luckily we were on a five star ship, so no worries :-)
This was shot from the ship, just after we got back from landing. The skies in Antarctica are ever changing, and often pretty amazing. Look at these mountains, and then realise that this is summer in Antarctica.

If you would like to join us on our next South Georgia and Antarctica expedition, then you’re out of luck - our 2018 trip is already fully booked. There are still a few spaces on some of our other tours though, and they’re also great fun: www.squiver.com
