For A Moment
William Patino - Wollongong, Australia

Running one of my workshops earlier this year, we were presented with this incredible display of glory in the Rockies. It was a rainy day which managed to scare most of the tourists off and saw us not overly concerned with the lack of light as we watched at leisure some black bears munching berries in a nearby field. During the final moments of the afternoon I saw a faint orange glow appear on the underside of the clouded sky and knew there must have been an opening on the horizon. The next 15 minutes are a bit of a frantic blur as I tried to get the guys here to Vermillion as fast as possible, all in the hopes of witnessing exactly this. I managed to fire off a couple of handheld shots in the process of doing the rounds between the crew, including this one. Surely one of the most memorable moments I've had in the Rockies. (Some poor jpeg compression in this upload unfortuantely).
