With 2015 quickly shaping up to be one damn busy year I was looking forward to escaping for a few days and going off the grid into the Tasmanian wilderness.
This is one location I have wanted to visit for many years so with the tent set up close by I was excited at the prospect of being around to witness both a sunset and a sunrise in front of this remarkable vista.
It was from the very location that this photo was taken that a leg of my tripod slid on a slippery rock while my back was turned and sent my entire camera kit smashing down onto the rocks and into the water. Needless to say, the damage was irreparable but thankfully I was able to retrieve the memory card from my water logged, cracked, bent and twisted camera and relive this remarkable, yet very hazardous, Tasmania location from the safety of the airport.
