There will always be disappointment, it's going to be a big part of one's life. It's a matter of how much you let it disrupt your daily pattern. Emotionally Mature people will likely frown for a few minutes when something disappointing occurs but keep their main focus on the future, and perhaps what they did wrong. It takes practice. But being able to rise above is life changing!!! and you are well-ahead of the average person.
One of the hardest things in the life of a landscape photographer is managing your expectations. Location, conditions are something we have no control over, just the artistic vision within us. I’ve seen countless images from Kirkjufell Mountain in Iceland and except for my little excursion up the mountain didn’t come up with anything original.
