Amazing sunset above the Julian Alps with the wide view to Mangart and the lonely Tamar valley in Triglav National Park. Waiting for the light on the summit of an exposed mountain alone away from the next road or hut is not my favourite task but if I see a chance for a cloud gap on the horizon I’m willing persevere even in low temperatures or rain. Sometimes I’m lucky and these short intense moments with great light compensate the long nightly hikes and cold winds (here around 0° + intensive windchill after some passing showers).
