Ancient Bristlecone Pine in the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest in the White Mountains of California. Some of the older trees have been shown to be older than 5000 years. They are relatively resistant to insects and rot, and after they die they can stand for hundreds and hundreds of years, weathering like a stone, from wind and rain.
