After my photography workshop in Patagonia I moved directly to Atacama desert in Chile. I was told the Atacama is almost cloudless, but it met us with remarkable nature phenomenon: from the airplane we saw beautiful rays striking to the desert, right before landing to Calama airport. Here I met with amazing astrophotographer, Yuri Beletsky We continued our journey to San Pedro Atacama. I start the series about my 3 weeks Altiplano expedition, stay tuned for exciting adventure! Soon we reached Altiplanic lagoons in Atacama desert. First we headed to miscanti and miñiques lagoons, to the altitudes up to 4800 m! Next few weeks we need to travel at Altiplano in Bolivia, so our body should be acclimating to this altitude. This is very wild place, just a few tourists and wonderful unspoiled nature with deep blue sky. My red toyota hilux is parked for the scale on the left.
