Overlooking Laguna Siula and Grangrajanca from the Paso Siula, five days into the Huayhuash Mountains of Peru. This has been the longest trek I've ever done and I faced some logistical challenges. Having a reasonably light pack, keeping the batteries full during the cold nights in the tent and carrying just enough camera gear to get the best images possible. I typically shoot large cameras and for this trip, I opted for a lighter setup- a Canon EOS Rebel T6i DSLR with a Canon EF 10-18mm lens and the tiny-but-mighty Canon EF 50mm 1.8 lens. I clipped the camera with the wide-angle to my backpack strap, kept the 50mm in a ziplock on the side pocket and went on.
