I had been like 6 months dreaming of this shot and I finally could get it! When I first came to Taiwan, I was searching for good locations to photograph and I didn't have the opportunity to go here till last weekend. The tofu rocks is a strange formation made by the erosion of the waves. There are two spots where you can see them. One of them is in Yehliu Park, which I found totally disgusting and ruined, what a crappy place, such a waste of time, full of tourists, totally artificial... But this shot was taken at 和平島, a much better and not crowded location. Once I got there, they said that the place where the Tofu Rocks were was closed because of an avalanche. But I was not gonna surrender so easily, after all, this place was in my mind for a very long time. I jumped the fence heading to the "dangerous" avalanche area which happened to be just a few rocks hampering the way, and we got there! We took a few shots but I was not very happy with my results. I managed to go back for sunset, when the light would be much softer, and the waves were much stronger! I took this shot using an exposure of 10 seconds, so I would be able to get the mood of the foam going through the rocks, creating this cool effect. During a few occasions, I almost got hit by the big crashing waves but I managed to step back on time! It was definetly worth the risk!
