A beautiful young female Roe Deer (Capreolus capreolus) highlighted by the morning sun amongst spring Bluebells. This is a special picture for me and has taken three years and much patience, fieldcraft and fortune to achieve. Arriving before sunrise in full camouflage and waiting for hours with only the midges and mosquitos as company. I hear two deer barking and then a young doe emerges from the distant bracken and slowly walks into the bluebells, I line a single focal point between her eyes and fire one shot, then she is gone. Thanks for looking.
