Look closely, how many streams of water do you see coming down the mountains? Amazing right? So glad to have brought my zoom lens with me during that trip. Chanced it on a gloomy morning, hoping for a break on the clouds, maybe some dramatic sunrise? Ha!
This is Lake Matheson, located in the heart of Glacier Country and Westland National Park, This place is famous for it’s mirror like views of Aoraki/Mount Cook and Mount Tasman.
If my memory serves me well(I hope I’m right!), the peak on the middle-right, that’s Sam’s Peak. Followed by the jagged ranges that runs from right to left, that’s Fox Range.
Mt. Hicks and Mt. Cook should be at the back of Sam’s Peak, which are both covered by clouds. Top left corner, the mountain that’s slightly peeking from the thick clouds, that’s Mt. Tasman. Now the glowing streams that flows below it, that one comes from Fox Glacier.
Hope you enjoy the view! Feel free to share!
