“Everything is bigger in Texas” is what they say and Big Bend National Park is no exception. Over 1,250 square miles of mountains, rivers and desert right on the border of Mexico. The only park with a complete mountain range within it borders along with artifacts estimated to be over 9,000 years old. This particular evening in mid-March I’m pretty sure I used up all of my sunset luck for the year on this bomb. Definitely the biggest, most colorful sunset I’ve ever witnessed. Up at 6,850 feet at the end of the Lost Mines trail. This was my first visit to Big Bend and thanks to my buddy Jeff Moore, we arrived at this location at the right time. This is a pano stitched from 6 shots. Tough balancing all the tones and colors, especially the red rocks with this much warm light.
