The Nakasendo or Kisokaidō was one of the five routes of the Edo period, and one of the two that connected Edo (modern-day Tokyo) to Kyoto in Japan.
We did the beautiful hike between Magome and Tsumago, at the latest time of the day, probably not the best light for photography in a forest, but you are alone there, feeling and listening its soul.
Nakasendo route, Kiso Valley. Japan. 2015
