It was a rainy and cold sunday at the beginning of March here in Germany, and there were no windmills under a beautiful sky in sight :-)
So I decided to start a short trip to the famous Eltz Castle (German. Burg Eltz), a mediaval castle nestled in the hills above the Moselle River between Koblenz and Trier, Germany.
I found in the Internet an information, that the castle is actually closed - so perfect to take a picture from outside without people .
Very interesting is also the point, that this castle is still owned by a branch of the same family that lived there in the 12th century, 33 generations ago! And probably a special castle ghost too!
