After feeling awesome from shooting the Fire Fall in Yosemite, I packed up and started to head back to camp. But almost as soon as I started driving, I found myself wrapped in a thick blanket of fog. Could this mean that the whole valley is getting blanketed by fog!? I immediately head up to Tunnel View. It was pitch black by the time I got there. Sure enough, under the moonlight, the valley is filled with fog! I've wanted to see this in person for ages but never hadthe opportunity. It was prettier in person than I had hoped! I was also surprised to see only a handful of people there, but all were completely engrossed by this scene. This shot is lit completely by the moonlight. The yellowish glow you see in the fog is from the car's headlights. I took a 2 minute long exposure to really bring out the details in the valley and also to smooth out the fog. Unfortunately the moon was too bright, otherwise I would have gone for a much longer exposure to really get some star trail action
