The World Below
Dany Eid - Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Today, I would like to share with you more technical tips on how i execute my work. Again, for people whom got tired from my Dubai images, I have to mention that the point here isn't to show the city but its about my vision & the technicality behind it. You noticed recently that I posted several images for Burj Khalifa submerged by fog; this is my third post from the same location, same timing but in a different style & mood. Think out of the box, be patient, think framing, look around for better composition, use your imagination & try to implement the impressionistic look on location & not only in post production. Maybe some of my friends will disagree with me on the post-production part since I like to produce my images the old school way at one single exposure by using different type of filters to balance my composition & to create the artistic look straight out of the camera. I don’t want anyone to get me wrong about the post-production part since sometimes its impossible to achieve at one single exposure the complete details from shadows to highlights extra... I wanted to show you in this image something new by adding the foreground within the frame to create more depth & architectural look. Accordingly, I implemented the hyper focal distance rule to get everything in focus: foreground, mid-ground & background. Then I used a ND 6 stop to create a smooth & silky mood for the fog. Also, a GND filter to balance the sky & keep the ground bright at the same time. EXIF data, 2 seconds exposure & f14 with Nikkor 14-24mm
