The summits of the Dolomites are graced by long veils of snowdrift.
I cannot remember ever having photographed during such harsh conditions in the Alps.
-18° C (—1° F) and severe gusts of wind.
I literally did not freeze my butt off but part of my nose during the snowshoe hike… not that bad but though my face was covered with a thick ski mask the very tip of my nose suffered from first degree frostbite. Now I look like Rudolf the Rednose Raindeer and the badest thing is that the doctor said I had to have a brake after all and stop poking my nose into everything that is cold.
