Irenes Misty Back Side
Mike Berenson - Littleton, United States

Irene's Misty Back Side Lake Irene's front side view made her famous but it was her back side that had me impressed. With the misty reflection and the northern end of the Milky Way, there was only one thing that I wanted to make the scene complete… and if you look closely, you can see the Andromeda Galaxy appearing just above the trees. With mountains blocking both wind and light pollution, I found Lake Irene to be an excellent location for night photography workshops and that was the case when this image was captured. We had just spent some time light painting on the front side of the lake and here, I helped my class apply their skills in what has proven to be the most popular stop in my night photography workshops in Rocky Mountain National Park... There is a lot more to this post... see the rest of the backstory, how I got the shot, and get free wallpaper from www.coloradocaptures.com/irenes-misty-back-side. ____________________ Learn To Capture Milky Way Stars - Night Photography Workshops with Mike Berenson & Darren White Grand Teton National Park June 7-10, 2015 - goo.gl/qmqvLC September 21-24, 2015 - goo.gl/cVzi3H Arches & Canyonlands National Parks May 22-25, 2015 - goo.gl/y7d3q2 August 12-15, 2015 - goo.gl/y7d3q2 September 10-13, 2015 - goo.gl/zr3QcW October 17-20, 2015 - goo.gl/waiZFx
