Towards The Sun
Timothy Poulton - Sydney, Australia

Long before the beach was a theater of bodies stuffed into tiny suits, exposing as much skin as possible to the sun, beach-going was often a strictly medical undertaking. For centuries we looked to the sand and surf as a fully-stocked pharmacy. Spending 2 weeks in Norway without once feeling the sun I really suffered, and it was only after lazing around on my deck chair in the sun did I start to feel better. With all the talk of cancer and the damage, the sun does we miss out on its healing qualities. Keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you.
